The Norfolk Hotel has

starting point for safaris and the Lord Delamere Terrace is modern
Nairobi's most famous meeting place, where drinks and light meals are
served continuously from morning until midnight. Fairmont The Norfolk
was expanded in 1999 and subsequently renovated in time for its centennial,
which it celebrated in 2004. The hotel now offers accommodations in
168 guest
rooms and suites, has three conference
rooms, the largest seating 175 delegates, a heated outdoor swimming
pool, health
club with gym, sauna and steam room, beauty salon, book shop and
gift shops.
Set on a plateau in an elevation above
Lake Nakuru, Sarova Lion Hill Game Lodge has 67 chalets all overlooking the
lake, within the Lake Nakuru National Park in Nakuru town. It is the perfect
place to experience one of the world's largest ornithological spectacles,
The Pink Flamingo, or a rich concentration of wildlife including black and
white colobus monkey and is also a famed Rhino Sanctuary.
Among the various Maasai Mara lodges,
Sarova Mara Game Camp 75 tents capture the true spirit of the Kenyan
wild, in Kenya's richest game reserve. Greatly renown for its annual
wildebeest migration, Big Five, Sarova Mara offers a breathtaking view
of the plains aloft a hot air balloon safari around the Maasai Mara Game
Reserve. Day 4: Maasai Mara

Arusha city is located in a green
landscape, at the foot of Mt. Meru. The city is actually divided into
two parts, separated by a narrow valley where the river Naura flows.
On the highway from Moshi to Namanga road, there some government offices,
post offices, immigration service, many beautiful hotels, safari companies,
aviation companies and the general Arusha International Conference Center
(AICC). On the other side of the valley are the commercial and industrial
areas, markets, small shops, bus station and many budget hotels. Arusha
is a wonderful city with different sights and the market is very lively.
Stretching for 50km along the base of
the rusty-gold 600-metre high Rift Valley escarpment, Lake Manyara is a scenic
gem, with a setting extolled by Ernest Hemingway as “the loveliest I had
seen in Africa. Manyara provides the perfect introduction to Tanzania’s birdlife.
More than 400 species have been recorded, and even a first-time visitor to
Africa might reasonably expect to observe 100 of these in one day. Highlights
include thousands of pink-hued flamingos on their perpetual migration, as
well as other large water birds such as pelicans, cormorants and storks.
Despite the relatively small size of the park, there is a large variety of
landscapes and there are many different types of wildlife. Manyara is among
few destinations where the tree climbing lions can be found. The park is
located next to a lake where there is a permanent hippo’s
pool.
Standing
high on the bluff of a dramatic ochre and terracotta streaked cliff above
the flamingo-frosted expanse of Lake Manyara’s gleaming alkaline waters,
the Lodge commands panoramic views across the volcano-studded floor of
the Great Rift Valley. Designed to reflect the brilliance of Lake Manyara’s
unique birdlife, the Lodge draws on an inspirational architectural motif
that melds swooping avian curves with the gentle concentric patterns
of traditional Maasai ‘Bomas’ (encampments) whilst the vibrantly coloured
frescoes lining the walls are designed to depict the colourful intricacy
of bird migratory patterns. The ambiance of the Lodge is a fusion of lakeside
tranquillity, towering volcanic splendour and adventure-packed sporting
activity.
Set high on a hill with 360 degree views
out over the Serengeti savannah, the Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge combines
luxury with simplicity and is Africa at its very best. Inspired by the traditional
African village, the lodge is rich in local atmosphere and the bedrooms are
housed in individual thatched huts. These huts are furnished with authentic
African furniture and handicrafts, with balconies overlooking the awesome
expanse of the Serengeti. Communal areas of the lodge are created out of
thatch and indigenous wood and give guests a true ‘out of Africa’ experience.
Great attention has been paid to both architectural and decorative detailing
and the lodge is a photographer’s joy. Derived from the Masai word ‘siringet’
meaning endless plains, the Serengeti is one of the world’s last great wildlife
refuges. From the Serengeti Serena you can enjoy safari drives or balloon
safaris and experience the awesome spectacle of the annual migration that
is one of nature’s wonders, or simply enjoy the outstanding quality and variety
of cuisine
This
is the most famous park in Tanzania and it is also the largest concentration
of wildlife migration in the world. In the park during the big haul the migration
may be 1.5 million wildebeests, 750,000 gazelles and about half one million
zebra 's. The park is also famous for its huge population and the lions is
probably the best park in the continent with a big chance to see pride of
lions. The park has a size of 8960 square kilometers. It is bordered in the
north with the Masai Mara National Game Reserve in Kenya and in the southeast
to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. In the west, the boundary of the park
is just a few miles from Lake Victoria. The largest portion of the Serengeti
is open savanna country that is interrupted by rocks, the so-called "kopjes".
The vegetation consists of acacia and other trees. Along the Mara River is
much forestation with large trees where sometimes the leopards can be observed.Day 10: Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro Crater

Drawing its architectural inspiration from the abundance of Uganda’s
lakes and rivers, the hotel is styled around a central water theme, which
manifests itself in the wrought ironwork, mosaic pillars, hand-carved
panels, cascading waterfalls and shimmering water gardens alike. The
décor of the hotel is the inspiration of its architect, Jon Cavanagh
of Symbion International; who has drawn his inspiration from the very
essence of Uganda, which he perceives as being typified by lakes, rivers,
lush vegetation and abundant fertility. These themes appear in both the
exterior features of the hotel and in the room décor, where softly flowing
fabrics, muted colours and organic themes prevail. Jon has also called
upon the skills of numerous local artists to create the stunning carved
panels, mosaic pillars, beaten copper fretwork, sensational traditional
jewellery, beaded wall hangings and hand-carved ‘bambara birds’, which
bedeck the communal areas. They include: Yoni Waite (mosaic art), Expedito
Wakibulla (wood carving) and Julius Mutungi (rock sculpture). The oasis
